How to Change Chatr SIM to eSIM

Switching to an eSIM is a convenient way to manage your mobile service—no physical SIM card needed, instant activation, and less hassle. But before you place your order, it’s important to make sure your device actually supports eSIM technology. This simple step can help you avoid delays during activation.


Step 1: Confirm Your Phone Supports eSIM

To verify eSIM compatibility on your phone:

  1. Dial *#06#.
  2. If you see an EID number listed on the screen, your device supports eSIM.

If no EID appears, your phone may not be compatible.


Step 2: Order Your eSIM Through My chatr

Once you’ve confirmed compatibility, you can proceed with ordering your eSIM online:

  1. Sign in to My chatr.
  2. Select the Profile tab.
  3. Choose Change SIM card.
  4. Enter the current SIM card number associated with your account.
  5. Select eSIM, then choose Continue.

Important Notes:

  • You’ll receive a QR code, which must be scanned using an eSIM-compatible phone to activate.
  • Your eSIM QR code expires after 24 hours, so be sure to activate it promptly.
