Follow these steps to link your bank account to Interactive Brokers (IBKR):
Step 1: Log in to Your IBKR Account
- Go to the Interactive Brokers website or open the mobile app.
- Log in using your credentials.
Step 2: Navigate to the Funding Section
- On the dashboard, go to the Menu (top-left corner).
- Select Transfer & Pay > Transfer Funds.
Step 3: Add a New Bank Account
- Click on Link a New Bank Account.
- Choose your region (e.g., U.S., Europe, etc.) and the currency you want to use.
Step 4: Select Your Bank Account Type
- Choose the type of bank account you want to link:
- ACH (U.S. only)
- Wire Transfer
- Other Local Transfer Methods (depending on your region).
Step 5: Enter Bank Account Details
- Provide your bank account information, including:
- Bank name
- Account number
- Routing number (for U.S. accounts)
- SWIFT/BIC code (for international accounts)
- Account holder name (must match your IBKR account).
Step 6: Verify Your Bank Account
- IBKR may require verification via:
- Micro-deposits: Small amounts deposited into your bank account (check your bank statement and confirm the amounts in IBKR).
- Bank Statement Upload: Upload a PDF of your bank statement showing your account details.
Step 7: Confirm and Submit
- Review all the details you entered.
- Submit the request to link your bank account.
Step 8: Start Funding Your Account
- Once your bank account is linked and verified, you can transfer funds to your IBKR account.
- Go to Transfer & Pay > Transfer Funds and follow the prompts to deposit money.
