If you no longer use a debit card or want to replace it with a new one, PayPal makes it easy to remove old payment methods. Deleting a debit card from your PayPal account only takes a couple of minutes and helps keep your wallet organized and secure.
In this guide, I’ll walk you through the steps to remove a debit card from PayPal on both desktop and mobile.
✅ Step 1: Log in to PayPal
- Visit PayPal.com or open the PayPal mobile app.
- Enter your email address and password to sign in.
✅ Step 2: Go to Wallet
- On the desktop site: Click “Wallet” in the top menu.
- On the mobile app: Tap the menu (☰) and then select “Payment Methods”.
✅ Step 3: Select the Debit Card You Want to Remove
- A list of your linked cards and bank accounts will appear.
- Click or tap on the debit card you want to delete.
✅ Step 4: Remove the Card
- On desktop: Click “Remove card” at the bottom of the card details page.
- On mobile: Tap “Remove” (sometimes shown as a trash icon).
- Confirm your choice when prompted.
